| Our Service Projects |
| Global United Pageant is committed to helping bring awareness to (childhood) cancer issues and to help ease some of the stresses of the patients while in treatment and recovery. Our two big service projects help support these efforts. Our first project is collecting items to send in Princess and Hero boxes to young patients who may need to be reminded that they are important to many (and as a little bit of fun!) Each box contains a few fun toys and treats along with a princess tiara for the girls or a hero hat for the boys. It also contains a proclamation of hero or princess announcing to the world that we think they are a hero/princess. Contestants pageant week are asked to bring an item(s) to contribute to the week where we will also get to go to a hospital and participate in a party for young patients crowning them princesses or naming them heroes. If you would like to contribute to these boxes/parties, please contact the director for more information. Here are some things we are looking for: ALL NEW, PLEASE, TO HELP CONTROL GERMS Stuffed Animals Toys Action Figures Candy and Treats (Store bought, no homemade, please) Thick Ribbon for Sashes Policeman, Fireman, and Army Hats Super Hero Capes Super Hero Plates, Cups, Napkins etc Princess Plates, Cups, Napkins etc Princess Crowns MORE! | Our second project is done during pageant week. Contestants bring polar fleece with them to tie into blankets for patients at the hospital to enjoy and snuggle while undergoing treatments. The evening pajama party pageant week brings a time for contestants to have fun, enjoy time together and tie blankets for our visit, later in the week, to the local hospital where we will visit children and have a party for them. If you would like to contribute to this project in fabric contact the director. Or to contribute financially, click the button below. |
